Study America

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Who we are
Study America ("we", "us") helps students in the UK apply to universities in the United States. We are based in London, UK. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, email us at advisory@studyamerica.co.uk.
What we collect
Contact details you give us, such as your name and email address, when you message us, use our chat or subscribe to updates. Information you choose to share about your studies and plans, such as your grades, subjects, test scores and target universities, so that we can advise you. Basic technical data, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, collected automatically by our website platform using cookies.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for; to send you updates and guides if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time); and to run, secure and improve our website.
Our lawful bases
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we process your data to take steps you request before entering into a contract with us and to deliver that contract; with your consent, for example for our mailing list; and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website platform Wix.com; with others, such as a university you are applying to, only if you ask us to; or where the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, normally no longer than two years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Students under 18
If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian before sharing personal information with us.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email advisory@studyamerica.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
